PROJECTS
Andrew has developed an innovative clinical model for implementation by treatment programs entitled "The Unified Theory of Recovery" (UTR), which is outlined in his 2021 book, "Resolving Spiritual Skepticism in Recovery".
UTR and the book combine the best thinking in the fields of Substance Use Disorder, shame, low self-esteem, relational dynamics, psychoneuroimmunology, quantum physics, emotional sobriety, mindfulness/meditation, family of origin theory, Eastern and Western philosophies, and evidence-based change theories (REBT, DBT, etc), for the purpose of accelerating the rate and quality of recovery from Substance Use Disorders.
ABOUT
Author, lecturer, and clinician, Andrew Pierce works individually in private practice as well as being aligned with premier mental health and addiction providers, Field Therapy in Draper (Salt Lake City), UT and Counseling of SW Florida in Naples, FL. He holds the highest available credential in the state of FL for addiction professionals, the Master’s Level Certified Addiction Professional (MCAP) which combined with the International Certification & Reciprocity Consortium (IC&RC) Alcohol & Drug Counselor credential, affords him the privilege of reciprocity in 47 states and internationally.
Andrew has developed and tested a clinical model for accelerating the quality and depth of change for those recovering from addictions and co-occurring disorders called The Unified Theory of Recovery (UTR) which combines up-to-the-second physics with ancient Eastern philosophy in a remarkably relatable manner.
He is presently authoring a companion workbook for clinicians and end users on the subject in an effort to more widely and effectively combat Substance Use Disorder and its co-occurring psychological issues which, sadly, deny happiness and fulfillment to millions daily.
